# Veritus Feature Guide

The **Veritus Workspace** is your home for all research workflows.

### What You’ll See

## 2. Deep Review

Critically evaluates premise, scope, claims, and assumptions. Identifies gaps requiring stronger scientific support for **high-impact journal submissions**.

### How It Works

1. Upload manuscript: Upload your draft to the Deep Review workflow
2. Evaluate gaps: After 5 to 10 minutes, review the analysis for identified inconsistencies and logical gaps traced back to the source text
3. Export and share: Download and share the PDF report with collaborators

### Input

Manuscripts in PDF, DOC, or DOCX format

### Outputs

* Critical evaluation of **premises, scope, core claims, and assumptions**
* Structured mapping of **logical and scientific gaps** with evidence
* Actionable recommendations to **strengthen scientific and argumentative integrity**, including suggested literature

## 3. Thesis Review

Evaluates a thesis or dissertation with the scrutiny of an examination committee, performing a **chapter-by-chapter assessment** of argumentation, methodology, and presentation to identify weaknesses prior to defense.

### How It Works

1. Upload thesis: Upload your **thesis or dissertation** containing a formatted Table of Contents
2. Select structure: Choose between a **IMRaD** or **Paper-wise format** to guide the analysis
3. Review analysis: Evaluate the **chapter-by-chapter critique** and a**ctionable recommendations**
4. Export and share: Download and share the PDF report with collaborators

## 4. Manuscript Suite

Strengthen your manuscript **from draft to submission** through five review workflows: Manuscript Review, Scientific Review, Comparative Review, Citation Review, and Language Review.

### **How It Works**

1. Upload manuscript: Upload your draft for analysis
2. Select workflow: Run a targeted review workflow
3. Review analysis: Evaluate identified gaps, similarities, and novelty
4. Export and share: Download or share a full or concise review with co-authors or reviewers.

### Input

Manuscripts in PDF, DOC, or DOCX format (Comparative Review requires an additional reference manuscript).

### **Outputs**

The specific outputs for each workflow are described below:

#### 4.1 Manuscript Review

Performs a comprehensive, reviewer-style analysis of the manuscript's core arguments to identify **strengths and limitations**.

**Outputs:**

* **Structured IMRaD summary** (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion)
* Key concepts and notations
* Literature review analysis of **relevance and timeliness**
* Analysis of the **methodology and proposed solution**, detailing strengths and weaknesses
* Results & finding analysis identifying **limitations and contradictions** against cited literature
* **Section-specific recommended literature** integrated directly with Veritus Search
* Exportable full or concise review reports

#### 4.2 Scientific Review

Evaluates the scientific rigor, experimental design, data validity, and findings of the manuscript, identifying **actionable improvements.**

**Outputs:**

* **Structured IMRaD summary** (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion)
* Key concepts and notations
* Methodology analysis evaluating study design, data collection, experimental procedures, and **impact of the proposed solution.**
* Results and findings analysis assessing alignment, impacts, and identified **contradictions** against cited literature
* **Section-specific recommended literature** integrated directly with Veritus Search
* Exportable full or concise review reports

#### 4.3 Comparative Review

Benchmarks the manuscript **against a reference paper** across research problems, methodologies, and findings in either Critical or Constructive mode.

**Outputs:**

* Veritus Search integration to find and import relevant literature for comparison
* Research problem comparison evaluating **relevance, importance, and research gaps**
* Methodology and solution comparison assessing study design, experimental setup, and the proposed solution
* Results and findings comparison detailing **overall impact, similarities, and contradictions**
* Highlighted limitations (Critical Mode) or actionable recommendations (Constructive Mode)
* Exportable full or concise review reports

#### 4.4 Citation Review

**Verifies references against databases** to identify verified citations, duplicate references, and records requiring review.

**Outputs:**

* Summary of total, verified, duplicated, and **review-required references**
* **Verified citations with metadata** (authors, journal, year, DOI, and citation count)
* Identification of records requiring review and **detection of duplicate references**
* Exportable full PDF report

#### 4.5 Language Review

Analyzes writing quality to identify **grammar errors, reduce repetition**, and **improve readability**

* Repetition review identifying **repeated sentences**
* **Grammar review** identifying errors and suggesting exact corrections
* Readability review **highlighting complex sentences** and suggesting improvements
* Exportable full PDF report

## 5. Search Assistant

Find the **most relevant papers** using a research question, abstract, or reference paper. This workflow provides relevance-ranked results, topic overview, citation metrics, and exportable data to accelerate your literature review.

### How It Works

1. Frame your query: Upload a reference paper, paste an abstract, or enter a research question.
2. (Optional) Set objectives: Mark example papers that match your intent.
3. Select topics: Select or add 3–10 keywords.
4. Review results: Sort, filter, and explore topic trends.

* Relevance-ranked results with **relevance scores**, **TLDRs**, and citation details

## 6. Reading Assistant

Ask questions across **multiple documents** through a chat interface. This workflow generates **source-backed answers** and **comparative analyses** of research problems, literature review, methodology, and results, with every claim linked directly to its source text.

### How It Works

1. Upload files: Upload up to **10 documents**.
2. Ask questions: Ask **natural-language questions** to extract and synthesize specific information
3. Generate analyses: Run **comparative analyses across documents**.
4. Verify data: Click **inline citations** to view the exact source text in the original document.
